on the heater fan compartment under the cab is a resistor, thereis cover beside the fan, its held down by four screws. take it off and you should find a spring like looking resistor. it could be this, get one and replace its happened on my 86 F250, the heat was coming out the vent but the fan didn't work, changed and works fine
