1990 F350Posted by Will on March 18, 2002 at 11:09:35 from (208.21.81.186):
Hey I know this question does'nt comply with the 1986 rule of this forum, but i really want to know. I recently got in a mans 1990 F350 with a 7.3 liter diesel, with no turbo. When i started it it made a horible noise, and the transmission was literaly vibrating so bad that i couldn't hold on to the shifter. It will vibrate like this until you hit the throttle, then it is Ok until you lug it down at an idle. He said he thought it was something to do with a double plated flywheel that is spring loaded making the vibration. I dont know anything about this. I wondered if it wasn't something to do with his injector pump. If it is that flywheel making it do that i dont think his crank will be with us much longer. Has anyone else experienced this or heard of this.
