Ignition switch problems......Electrical problems.

I have an 89 ford 350 truck. The ignition switch turn so hard I can hardly start it. Also the instrument gauges, radio. directional lights, and defroster motor work intermittently. They usually work after I have gone several miles down the road. How can I fix this. Thank you, AWB
