While the 351M/400 engine does have the same trans bolt pattern as the 429/460, I think you would regret the swap. The 460 is a far superior engine in many ways. farmall man is either joking or simply mistaken when he says that his 351M has the same power and tork as the 460. It just ain't so. I would rebuild the existing 460 or, if that is beyound what you can/want to do, look for another 460. I think you will be much happier.
