I'd been to the wrecking yard and got one, then got to considering it further and decided it'd be easier going the route I did. The main reason I went with headlight relays is like you said, to reduce the current in the light switch. OEM switches for that truck are about 50 bucks if you can find them, I sure don't wanna pay that more than once. Until I find the money to go OEM, I'm using a $2.99 switch from NAPA.
