Conversion to fuel injection.

Is it Practical to try to convert a Chevy 454 carburated engine to a fuel injected engine when you go to rebuild it.? Does it pay off financially to do so? Approximately what would it cost to do the conversion. The engine would be used in a motor home. Thanks.
