Chevy Problems

Posted by JC on March 18, 2003 at 14:20:30 from (205.188.209.11):

I have a 1987 Chevy with a 305 V8 with carb. It
started breaking down under acceleration today
and now it stalls every 1/4 mile with no power.
I replaced the fuel pump 3 months ago and the
mod. unit. Seems like its running out of fuel, but
it starts right after the stall. I have no way to
test the fuel pump pressure and it runs fine at
idle and I think it would idle all day. Think the
fuel pump is at fault or am I missing something
else. It's driving me nuts. I need some help.
Thanks.
