2 stroke Detroit diesels

Hello,
Is there anyone on here that knows about the 2 stroke detroits? I am looking for any good info on them as I know very little and am getting a bus with one so I want to know what to expect and how to maintain and drive it. mine is a 8v92T so I especially want info on that one! Someone told me these are hard to start, true? if so why? Are there any trouble spots to keep an eye on? Thanks a bunch.
