We don't get hail big enough to dent vehicles here. It wouldn't cost much to try it. An alternative would be to just get a replacement hood from a wrecking yard or the manufacturer's parts depot. There are also all kinds of aftermarket parts available, even from J C Whitney. Good luck. Let us know if the dry ice works.
