I have heard of the idea of using dry ice to shrink the hail dents, but have no experience with trying it. We don't get hail big enough to dent vehicles here. It wouldn't cost much to try it.

An alternative would be to just get a replacement hood from a wrecking yard or the manufacturer's parts depot. There are also all kinds of aftermarket parts available, even from J C Whitney. Good luck. Let us know if the dry ice works.
