Ineed some help here with my truck. the battery was going dead first because the alternator locked up. So i went to autozone and bought a new one and it showed that the battery was charging but when i connected the positive cable to the battery while the truck was off and everything was turned off it showed spark. Im pretty sure it shouldnt and as soon as i took the wires off the alternator it stopped sparking.so i took the alternator back and got another from advanced auto parts which is a rebuilt motorcraft. i have it hooked up right and the battery post doesnt spark when i connect the postive wire, but my ammeter gauge doesnt show charge. So now my question could my voltage regulator be bad or something wrong??
