The flywheel housing bolt pattern isdifferent on the 2.8 liter than the 305. Aman I know, however, replaced his 2.8 with a 350 with a turbo 350. It worked out well. One tip when you are fooling with these S-10 aND s-15 as well as the blazers and Gimmys. Pull the left cab mount bolts and the left radiator support bolt, jack the left side of the body up and stick a 4X4 on top of the frame when doing any enginechanges or transmission changes. It takes ten minutes with animpact wrench and saves ton of time and knuckle busting.
