Sixties model Ford big trucks

What was the model designator of Ford's big conventional pre-Louisville line? I think the bubble nose models were NTs. Were the 800s and 900s also F models? This topic came up in the coffee shop this morning. I drove an 850 in the early seventies but I can't recall a letter designator.
