I've got a "chunk" out of a 72 3/4 ton, but, it's a 4.56 ratio, not exactly what you would want for highway running unless you had an overdrive. You can put any kind of rear end in it you want. It just takes some work to adapt the trailing arms. One word of caution if you do thi. Do not weld anything until you are finished. Then, set it down on the tires and check the pinion angle, tap the nose to the right angle, then tack it. 1/8 of an inch makes a BIG difference in the angle. Been there.
