The 67 - 72 chevy/GMC trucks are Extreemly popular, and one of the best pick-up plat forms ever made. You could get (bone stock) coil springs in the back with real long trailing arms that are real good forlaying down the power, and is pretty much the same set up in the Bush series cars even today.
The aftermarket is booming with repro parts, many of extreemly high quality and good prices.
If you are looking for one, or have one to build up and need ideas/parts/info or just want to talk truck talk, go to the link I posted, and click on boards.
These are some of the best and knowledgable truck guys you'll ever met.

Here is a pic of one of my trucks...it's a 70 one ton Longhorn (one of 1404 built) that is powered by a caddy big block. I was having it hauled to the shop so I could finally get more work done on the swap. As you can see, the truck i took the pic from is also a 67 - 72...my daily driver, a 69 Short/fleet GMC.
