How to silence a noisy lifter on a GMC 2.8l V6 ?

Greetings,
The engine in question powers a 1986 S15 4X4 with about 200,000 kms accumulated. The engine runs fine,does not burn oil, but has what I believe to be a sticky lifter, since it ticks for a few seconds on cold starts. Is there a commercially-made product that is better than the multitude of snake oils on the market, or a homemade recipe?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
