60 Chevy--no electricity to coil

Posted by Mike on June 09, 2003 at 06:57:06 from (65.211.189.141):

Can someone help me with an electrical problem? Have a 60 Chey with a 235 six that sat for the last 25 years. Turns over good with new battery cables. Carb is gettin fuel, but no spark. Have put on a new coil, condensor, plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor, and points.

No juice is getting to the coil as near as I can tell. (lead from coil to dist is dead when cranking.) Wire from solonoid to positive terminal of coil is good. so is the ground to the dist.

Any ideas where the problem could be? thanks
