There is a kind of "walking beam" suspension also known as “Boomerang” suspension where the rear wheels are located on the ends of a boomerang shaped hollow beam. The wheels are driven by mean of chains or shafts to an axle located in the middle of the beam, the best-known user of this type of suspension is the Brazilian Engesa which made 6X6 trucks and AFVs
