It is a shame Edlebrock didnt do a better job copying the AFB as it was one of the best all around carbs on the road. Friend of mine bought the copy worked good a month or two then went to crap, took it back, new was the same way soon, took it back, new one was acting up soon, beat it flat with a hammer and ended up with an evil Holley with ALOT of work done to it. I am sure the Edlebrock is capable of being a good carb but never talked to anyone that liked it. Glad there are still some AFB's in the junk yard.

I would take it back if it is under warranty. Sounds as if the float may be high, should not have changed so I doubt it. Metering rods probably sticking. Might spray them with carb cleaner and work em by hand some to loosen them up. Electric choke? Might unhook it and tie it open to see if it is the problem. Could be staying shut too long or closing on warm days when it shouldnt. Never had much luck with electric choke. But then again in the South you only need a choke 3 times a year right? LOL!

AFB ALL THE WAY, everything else is just a anvil!
