Engine Options- '69 GMC 2500

Bought a '69 GMC t-tag at a sale over the weekend. It was getting dark when I popped the hood to look at the engine. It was extremely clean and in excellent shape. But the more I looked at it, the more the engine looked like a v-6, I expected a 350 in it. My question is, did they make a v-6 for this model and if they did was it a good engine? I counted 6 plug wires, but maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me again.
