I have a chance to buy a 366cid (chevy) big block. I have been trying to find specs as to HP & torque. You would think the library would have books on industrial engines, but it isn't so. The engine was in a fuel delivery truck and I would like to use it in a project truck that I'm working on. Will a turbo 400 bolt up, and will BBC parts work on it? I'm putting in a vehicle that will be weighing over 6,000 lb. I live in the southwest, major towns are 200 miles away (while closest is 30), and I would like to pull a trailer to haul my 54 F100 to shows. I intend to drive the truck (47 IHC Delivery van) to pre-49 car shows, and will be hauling my back-up vehicle (late model 1-ton chevy) just in case.
Can some one please guide me to a web site with the info on specs. My vehicle will NEVER hold a candle to the Power Pagon, but watching the build up was fantastic. Thanks again..
