F150 (not old) problem

I just spent 20 minutes looking for an F150 board that comes close to the quality of this one, but failed. I'm still looking for one if someone will point me in the right direction.

--OR-- take a crack at advice...

My truck is at the dealer; they said my problem is "normal". 2001 F150; 28K miles; manual; when shifting to 3rd with RPMs up, there is a "catch" you can feel in the gear shift and an audible "squeak". They say "it's the syncro's trying to catch up". Make sense to anyone?
