Not the brake switch after all!Posted by Okie-Dokie on July 11, 2003 at 18:59:08 from (152.163.252.163):
Looks like the problem with my f-600 truck was not the switch on the rear of the master cylinder. When I put the new switch in the lights came on and went off great. For a little while, any ways. Then the same old problem: the lights stay on all the time. Could the problem be in the master cyl. itself? When I removed the old switch, a lot of brake fluid was lost. It was under conciderable pressure. Could there be some kind of valve in the master cyl. that is supposed to relieve this pressure, letting the switch rest? How do I remedy this problem, or is it a problem?
