HELP! Can anyone tell me why I can't bleed the abs brakes on a '95 Neon? The vehicle was parked
overnight, and the next time it was started, the brakes went to the floor.
I bled all 4 wheels, no air, no change. I noticed fluid leaking at rear of the aluminum master cylinder at the power unit and had it professionaly rebuilt.
The guy said aluminum mcs can't be honed but the rubbers were bad so he replaced them($65).
I bench bled the mc and plugged the outlets and installed it. It's rock solid when plugged. I connected the two lines going to the abs unit and bled the brakes, but no air comes out even with 50 pumps of the pedal, which now goes to the floor with all bleeder screws closed. Where is the air???
The book says vehicle MUST go to the dealer for bleeding. What is it about the dealer's $2500 DRB II that can do the job and I can't?????? BTW, there is NO abs light on, and no codes with the key-on-key-off check. It's all very frustrating.
And before long, even the 'classics' will have abs.
