I got a frend that has a 86 ford with a 300 6. it was knocking when he bough it I told him it was the rods. as I worked as a machnic some years ago. he went to the same shop that i used to work and thay told him it was the timing gears. and ill be thats what it turned out to be. after thay changed them it ran quiet. and it had lots of miles on it to.
