I had a similar problem with my 95 Ford Windstar. It turned out that I could make the light go out by topping off the brake fluid. The brake fluid would be above the "normal" acceptable fill line but by bringing the level up to the "full" line the light would go out. I would have to do this about once a year. I have no idea why this worked.
