77 Chevy C10 overheating

The truck has a 250 6 cylinder with a 4 speed. I changed the Belts, hoses, coolant and thermostat and it still overheats while idleing not when driving. I took the thermostat out and tried it without one and no change.I checked and the waterpump is working. Any one have any ideas?
