1968 Chevy Manual trany 4th gear sticks

I have a 1968 Chevy pickup 1/2 ton with a 4 speed manual trany. If I am in fourth gear and slow down below about 20mph the trany seems to get jammed in fouth, if I speed up a bit it will come out. Is this a sign that my trany is just wearing out.
