1200C hard to change starterPosted by Evan350 on March 31, 2002 at 15:32:29 from (24.169.133.192):
I'm with a museum that has an International 1200C 4x4 with a straight 6 and the starter motor died. It took us over an hour to get the darn starter removed. The upper bolt is well protected from being reached by any kind of ordinary socket, box wrench or pliers. One of the guys eventually broke the end off his 3/4" box wrench so it was only 3" long--that fit in there and the bolt came right out. How do you tackle hard to reach bolts like this?
