I have never seen one but I know lots of
medium duty trucks have 2 speed rear axles.
What I am wondering is, could the 2 speed
part of one of those axles be removed and
modified one way or another to put behind the
tranny on my 82 F150 2 wheel drive? I have a
retired friend who does machining work at a
low rate. I have checked into the Gearvendors
and one other overdrive auxilary
trannsmission and they are waaaaaay
waaaaaaay to expensive for me.
