As for the 84 Chevy 2WD to 4WD the easiest thing to do would be to pull the body off the 2WD and mount it on the 4X4 frame. When you start thinking about everything you would have to remove to do the conversion - front clip, engine, tranmission, might even need to lift the cab to mount the transfer case + cross member it would be easier to just remount the cab and bed before you even began trying to unbolt springs and mountings on an almost 20 year old truck.
