You need one of them gear splitters. Never
mind a 5 speed you could have an 8!
The good ones run about $1000 and are
totally gear driven so they're really strong.
What they end up doing is giving you a gear
between gears and a really low first or higher
4th. Theres some that mount after the trans
and some thats on the output of the transfer
case for a 4x4.

As for the guy who said the 5 speed wasn't
strong enough, phooey on him, I don't think he
read where you were going to get one from a
bigger series. The NV4500 5speed is a tough
transmission...
