That all depends. I am only 55 but I hate to walk when I break down. Some times it is below Zero out with wind chills of -40 below and lower. If I had to walk in that it would probly kill me or realy make me feel like sh** after words. So it depends on your health, area you live in and income. I have a newer car just for those times and a beater truck with probley 200,000+ miles on it with a second engine and transmission. It has broke down a few times on me but not when it was bad weather out. I realy like having the newer 97 4x4 Blazer getting 22 mpg compaired to the 10- mpg my 4x4 truck gets. But the truck is fun to drive and I don't worry about scratching it. Mark H.
