Make sure it does not drip on you when it is hot and have a fire extinguisher real handy. Undercoating is not easy to get off and it is harder to get the metal underneath clean enough to paint very well. I have used paint thinner on a rag to scrub off the residue after scraping and finished up with lacquer thinner. But using those solvents is dangerous--they can flash and burn your hands (hopefully in heavy rubber gloves). And good ventilation will keep you from getting stoned from the fumes. This has worked for me, but I reeeealy don't like it. Anyone else got a better way?
