1971 GMC smokes but excellent compression

My 1971 GMC 454 smokes after it warms up. It has excellent compression and it only smokes on the passenger side not at all on the drivers side pipe. The smoking on the pass side is excessive though after it warms up. Do I need to just rebuild the cylinder heads ??? Please help !!
