Hello.

I have a 1952 2 ton Chevy Fire Truck. Its in great shape!

I need to replace the Loadstar 110 straight six - only 6030 original miles on the motor - with a Cummins 5.9 ltr. diesel. I would appreciate any educated and/or creative thought and suggestions?

I'd like to keep the transmission that is currently in the Fire Truck.

Also, I have 2-speed rear axle. Do I need to swap out the whole rear end or just parts of it? Or can I keep it as is and just keep the rear axle in the low speed?

Thanks.
