Too much? Hm, that is certainly debatable.

I'm of the opinion that it is far too much, but there is one currently on Ebay that has one bid of $4,501, with a reserve price of $5,000.

Are you going to keep this original, or turn it into a street rod? If it will become a street rod or heavily modified, then it is FAR too much.

Is a 1937 Chevrolet just what you have been looking for, or just what turned up?

Can you wait for another vehicle to come along, or do you need something to work on now?

Did the vehicle belong to someone that has special meaning to you? If it belonged to a relative or a friends father would give it sentimental value.

Really think things through rather than just plunking the money down. Also at the same time, this may be a once in a lifetime purchase, so you may justify a high price by not ever buying again.

Would I pay that for it? No, but then I don't really care for the style of that year.

Lots of questions that only you can give a definitive answer for.
