Re: 1937 Chev P U valuePosted by Hal/WA on November 24, 2003 at 18:39:48 from (207.170.254.83): In Reply to: 1937 Chev P U value posted by venda on November 24, 2003 at 07:01:12: It depends on how bad you want it. $4000 may be too much or it might not. There are not that many 37 Chevy pickups around anymore, and if that is what you want, you might have to pay that much. You could try offering less, but the current owner might not budge on his price, unless he really wants to turn it now. When I am buying something like a vehicle or anything that has more than a small value, I always try to negotiate a lower price. Over the years I have saved many thousands of dollars this way. And some sellers will think you are foolish if you just pay the first price they give you. By the way, my wife will not go car shopping with me anymore..... I have a 36 GMC pickup and have never seen another GMC of that year. I have had it for a long time and hope to make a street rod out of it sometime. Maybe soon, as I am now retired. Over the years, a number of people have asked me if I would sell it. I have always told them that I would sell it, but would not take any less than $5000. No one has ever taken me up on my offer. I really don't want to sell the truck, but figure if someone wants it bad enough to pay $5000 for it, they want it more than I do. Good luck with the pickup. It can be fun playing the buying and selling game.
