Mack ENDT-673 with a problem...Posted by Brian A. on December 03, 2003 at 09:07:42 from (64.68.247.73):
Hello, This injector pump has the engine shutoff cable and an emergency shutoff cable hooked to it. The emergency shutoff valve is stuck and the previous owner disconnected the cable. I do not know what position the valve is stuck in, could this be the problem? The engine was installed in 1975 by the military and only has 450 hours on it since then, perhaps there is a seal which dried out from lack of use and cracked? If anyone has some ideas of what may be causing the problem, it would be appreciated.
