Mack ENDT-673 with a problem...

Hello,
I recently acquired a military 5-ton 6x6 with the Mack engine at an auction, which has a problem with fuel getting into the crankcase. It seems the problem is probably coming from the injector pump as there is no excess fuel coming out of the exhaust, nor is there excessive smoke. About a gallon of fuel made it into the crankcase during a 30 mile drive to get the truck home after putting in fresh oil before leaving.

This injector pump has the engine shutoff cable and an emergency shutoff cable hooked to it. The emergency shutoff valve is stuck and the previous owner disconnected the cable. I do not know what position the valve is stuck in, could this be the problem? The engine was installed in 1975 by the military and only has 450 hours on it since then, perhaps there is a seal which dried out from lack of use and cracked?

If anyone has some ideas of what may be causing the problem, it would be appreciated.
