IIRC the 2 bolts aligned is for the small flywheel 126 teeth for the powerglide, and 10" or smaller clutches. The staggered holes are for the 14" 168 teeth flywheel and was for the TH350 and 400 and 11 and 12 inch clutches. I am pretty sure your Big Block truck uses the big flywheel and staggered bolt starter. Hope this helps
