From your description (three bolt) I would assume this is a four speed one ton with a standard clutch assembnly, not the 13 inch clutch the big trucks have that required an adaptor plat on the back of the block. If so, just ask the parts house for a starter for a 71 350 straight shift.If all else fails and you need a rebuilt starter, get one for the big block automatic (high torque that will require the copper extension from the solenoid to the starter), put a new bushing in the drive end of your old starter and make a quick swap of the ends.
