I have a 1998 Ford F-150 with a 4.6 V-8, 5 speed manual tranny, 8ft. box, and is equipped with a trailer braking system. I have a 20ft. car trailer with 2 3500 lb. axles. I plan on hauling a good amount of farm equipment with it. I have always noticed that my truck squats pretty bad with anymore than 5-600 lbs. on the back. My question is Does it hurt my truck to squat? I have found heavier springs for it. What all do you have to do to put in the springs? Do the mounting brakets need to be heavier etc. or do I just put in the heavier springs. I appreciate any help.
