Headers on 66 C-10

Need a suggestion for headers on a 66 Chevy C-10 with a 406. Sanderson makes a set but only with 1-1/2" primaries. The motor will be really stout with Pro-Topline 220 straight-plug heads. Sanderson agrees with me that 1-1/2" primaries are way too small. Hedman has them in 1-3/4" primaries for 67-87 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd. But will they fit '66 too?

Hooker has full length headers with 1-5/8 primaries which are still pretty small for this motor. Most guides suggest 1-7/8 for an engine of this size/hp. I would be willing to go as low as 1-3/4 as a little too small is better than a little too big. Suggestions?
