Big Fred, thanks for the reply. I've had the F-5 on the road with about half the GVW. I'v never driven a F-5 grain truck, but we had a 50 Chev. with the big 6 and 2 speed rear. As a kid I put a lot of time in the cab. My F-5 does not have the 2 speed rear but has the granny gear trans. While on the road with the truck I did pull a few hills that I've had to pull during wheat harvest with the old chv. and I felt the F-5 with the V8 should have topped the hill a little stronger than it did. I've been wanting to look inside the flatty so may have been just looking for a reason. Might want to try dual ex. and like John says a good tune up. John, you say to degunk the motor any advise on a good way to do that. Fred I've looked hard for the PTO plate, none on this trans. Thanks for the help
