I know this isn't a classic, but I have 2 dodge trucks, 1, a deisel w?5sp the other an automatic 360 V-8. I drove the gas/auto last week and it did fine, then the next morning I got in it to go help my son and it didn't want to shift into 2 or 3 gear. It's full of trans fluid and goes into gear and doesn't slip or anything, but won't shift up to second till you get to 3000 rpms and hangs there a few seconds, then it will shift, and stays in second for a minute of so and then shifts to drive. From drive it shifts to overdrive and then the torque converter locks as normal. When you stop, it drops into low and takes off normally but still doesn't want to shift into second again.
Does anyone know why it started doing this and what the fix is? I appreciate any help you can give me, Thanks, Nat
