Law, I have a 73 manual and belive it or not under compression it says the lowest cyl, must be within 75% of the highest and that is all. Doesn't give the pressure. Seems like my older manuals had it kinda lower than I was thinking it would be, something like 135 lbs was all, don't hold me on that.
Oil pressure kinda vague, 35 to 75 at 2000 rpm is range. I have this engine in a 66 COE and trying to get running right. Oil pressure is right up there. It misses some and won't always stay running once I rev it up and back to idle. Has new points, plugs wires, and carb rebuild. Guess next is compression check, maybe pull heads for valve job. Says only 67,000 miles on speedo! I have some exhaust manifold bolts broken in head, and can't get at them in truck, frame in way. Another good reason to pull heads, *&^(!
