90 GMC 350 TBI idle question

[ View Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Return to Forum ]

Posted by Rick from Paso on January 07, 2004 at 18:45:09 from (63.202.152.239):

I have a 90 Sub with 333000 miles it runs pretty good, starting to lose a little power. I am planning to put a new crate motor in it but have been fighting a rough idle problem for a while. It doesn't die, just rough idle and recently started chuggling under cruise conditions with slight accelleration. I replaced EGR, EGR solenoid, TPS, PVC, Air filter., found and fixed a vacuum leak and the problem has mostly gone away, but seems to be starting again with an occaisional rough idle and chuggle. I also had a slight problem with it running a little hot, replaced radiator, put a lower temp thermostat (175). It's driving me nutz! Any help would be appreciated.
