I have seen a few of these done (although never one with automatic) so it possible. Just about bought one a few years ago - they had replaced springs with stronger ones. I know he told me getting room for everything was quite the job. It lacked power steering because he hadn't figured out where to mount pump yet - did have air conditioning though. Makes one mean truck.
