49 chevy truck

I have a 49 chevy truck... body is in good shape (with some rust, but solid), engine block is cracked and the truck has been sitting for a number of years. Talked to a very reputable body guy and he told me not to take less than $2000 for it... is that unreasonable to ask? I have had a number of offers on it...
Any input would be helpful!
