O.T. : Tinting LensesPosted by Eddie Petty on January 18, 2004 at 17:56:17 from (68.119.174.176):
I am in the process of restoring a '59 BEARDMORE London Taxi. One of only thirty-six beleived to remain. The 'turn signals' are bunny-eared lenses that mounted on the curvature of the roof in the area of the 'B' post. Needless to say, replacement lenses are impossible to find. The existing lenses are in real good shape except that the amber tint has faded from years of sunlight. The tinting appears to be on the inside of the lenses.
