Freind has a late 50's big GMC truck, maybe a 900 series? He seems to have two air powered master cylinders setting sideways in mid frame area. One for front and one for back brakes. Now, I have several manuals, GMC and Ford with about same vac/hydraulic brake systems in them. NONE of them have TWO cylinders like his. This system uses air pump and tredle pedal to give air to masters, then is hydraulic from there. Most in book have hydro-vac or air assist unit, but are not air pressurized and have master cylinder near pedal.
Any idea's what this is? It all looks rusty and orig, but maybe someone changed stuff long ago or had special set-up ordered?? Anyone have 56 or up big truck books to look into?
